His-story:
Born in Phailien(Churachandpur District, Manipur, India), to a family of 5 brothers and one sister (Eldest brother Lun passed away in 2006 and the youngest brother Mangcha passed away in 1998). Studied in Churachandpur till 4th class and
got admission into Sainik School Imphal(SSI) in class VI in the year 1983.
Studied in SSI from VI to XIIth and has lots to thank his alma mater for all the good characters he developed. He was never a bright
student amongst his mates, he was more inclined to the physical side of
activity. During his schooling, he had the opportunity to represent his school
in the following games/tournaments:
* Football -
Northeast Championship (Venue: Sainik School Goalpara, Assam), All India
Sainik School Championship(Venue: Sainik School Kapurthala, Punjab), Subroto
Mukherjee Cup(Venue: Delhi).
* Hockey -
Jawarlal Nehru National Junior Tournament(Delhi)
* Basketball -
Northeast Championship (Venue: Sainik School Purulia, West Bengal)
* Badminton -
Inter school Tournament(Imphal)
Soon after passing out of SSI in 1991 he headed for Delhi and
got enrolled in Delhi University(DU) and represented his college in Inter
college tournament in Football and he was also selected to represent DU in the
inter-university tournament which he later declined as he was going home for
holiday. After one year in Delhi he decided to move down
to Chennai and start a fresh. For the next 10 years, he studied and later on
worked in Chennai. In Chennai, his initial jobs were into sales and marketing
and soon he got into Human Resources/IT recruitment and worked for couple of
companies like - California Software(www.cswl.com) and
StepStone(www.stepstone.com). In 2002, he was selected by a Singapore based
software company and since then he has been working in Singapore. He also maintains a blog call A Recruiter diary, which he tries and update as and when time permits.
2002 was an important year, this was the year
when he met the love of his life - Henei. After a year of courting they
decided to tie the knot and got married on the 21st May, 2003(www.neitham.com/wedding.html).
Now, he is most happy when he is with his wife and looks forward to the arrival
of junior.
Her-story: Henei was born in Songgel
under a protected and God fearing family. She studied in St.Mary School and
later on did her X & 12th from Kolkata. Soon after schooling she decided to
pursue a calling in the noble profession of nursing and she got her admission in Satribari Christian
Hospital (SCH), Guwahati. During her study in SCH she was very involved in
church activities. After passing out she join Downtown Hospital, Guwahati but
had to resign soon because she was getting married to Som!!! After her wedding
she was with her husband in Chennai and worked for Sri Ramachandran Hospital.
After a few months in Chennai she joined Som in Singapore. For the last
2 years she's been working with Thomson Medical Centre, Singapore.
Finally, we have been blessed with a healthy beautiful boy on the 5th of August'2006.
